"ME DEIXA EM PAZ"
1972, Brazil, Elis Regina. beautiful jazz flavoured songs in portugese. huge grooves. the production sounds super clean, like a lot of money went into it, sort of like the '72 equivalent of a bieber album. lots of different instruments, cool mix of electric and acoustic. some moments have a prog rock flavour, like 'me deixa em paz' and the end of 'bala com bala'. the keyboard sound in those songs is very yes-esque. the most famous song from the record is 'aguas de marco'. Jobim, the guy who wrote it, also wrote the music for 'the girl from ipanema'.
a cool list i just found that this album is on.
the grooves!
